Emergency summit Greece 22 June
uropean Council President Donald Tusk announced a Euro Summit on Greece on Monday 22 June at 19:00, stating that “It is time to urgently discuss the situation of Greece at the highest political level.”
The announcement was made shortly after the Eurogroup meeting, which again did not result in an agreement. Eurogroup President Jeroen Dijsselbloem stated that “too little progress [had] been made in the talks between the institutions and Greece and that no agreement as yet [was] in sight”, but also that “It is still possible to find an agreement and extend the current programme before the end of the month.”
