Brexit consequences: More migrants and less security for the UK

David Cameron cautioned the British public on Monday that a „Brexit“ could increase migrant flows to Britain via the channel, Euractiv reports. There would be no guarantee that a Franco-British bilateral agreement (2003) that allows Britain to conduct border checks on French territory would remain in place, the UK government warned. Similarly, Robin Wainwright, director of Europol, told BBC in an interview that a Brexit would make it more difficult for Britain to protect itself against terrorist attacks as it would have decreased access to „very well-developed“ European cooperation mechanisms on crime.
